Fresh as a Daisy...

Published April 2009

This season, Marc Jacobs has launched the little sister of his popular fragrance Daisy, the more youthful version of his other scents.

The original daisy bottle has a Spring twist, this edition has cute green – not the original white - plastic petals blooming from the cap.

Perfect for introducing the teen to the world of fragrance, it also comes complete with a varied assortment of cute stickers to customise the bottle, which range from butterflies and ladybugs to rats and flies (eek! won’t be using those on mine!).

The never changing scent is a combination of fruity and floral aromas blending violet leaves, jasmine petals and gardenia with strawberry, grapefruit and vanilla infusions - a fresh bouquet with a citrusy tang which tempers just in time for the evening.

I’d warn that the scent has a very limited lifespan once on the skin - after applying it in the morning it was very faint by lunchtime and virtually untraceable after a slightly overpowering hand cream.

Despite the huge following Daisy has, I personally think Marc Jacobs played it safe with the fragrance – it’s an inoffensive spritz for daytime, but if it’s the unusual or an enduring scent you’re after, you won’t find it in this sticker-laden bottle.
