A Belle Maison...

I almost pulled out every hair on my head in desperation as I searched for the plumber’s phone number. Typically just as the temperature drops, so does the pressure on my boiler, and I was in dire need of a boiler man in the know.

Green Fingers is a whizz with anything garden and DIY related (so he should be – I don’t call him Green Fingers for nothing), but when dealing with gas I decided a professional was essential if I was going to prevent the flat blowing up…

It was as I was rummaging through the third kitchen drawer and cursing how I always put important numbers in a ‘safe place’ that’s so safe I can never find them when I need them, that I decided to sort out my ‘useful numbers and contacts’ and get things in order.

Once the plumber’s card was eventually found and heat was restored again, I pulled out my trusty lap top and went straight to, you’ve guessed it, my fountain of all shopping knowledge, the SheerLuxe Directory.

I thought that if I could find myself some stylish, yet useful, things in which to store useful bits and bobs, that that would be the first place I’d look in a crisis. And if it looked nice then I might just keep it in better order than the kitchen drawer.

The directory didn’t fail me; I came across a wonderful, and reasonable, website called Belle Maison and found just what I’d been searching for… a stylish and pretty pinboard (one that wouldn’t make my kitchen look like a student’s - the very thought made Pashminas and Pearls shudder).

With a range of colours in gingham check, and with ribbon and button detailing, it was in my shopping cart as quick as my mouse would allow, and I was already deciding where to hang it on my kitchen wall.

The site is so dreamy and fabulous that I’m already picturing my next house filled to the brim with their gorgeous Provencal dining room furniture!
