A Few Sites To Check Out...
Published on Friday 6th June 2008

Out and about this week I’ve come across some fabulous new businesses that we’ll be adding to the site shortly. I did a seminar at Pulse (a trade show for wholesales businesses) on Monday about ecommerce and afterwards snaked my way up and down the rows of exhibitors – exhibitors hoping that buyers would snap up all the goodies they had on offer.

Historically and generally, wholesalers only sell to the trade (it’s often easier that way) but thanks to the web a whole load of them are now selling online to the public too.

You’ll therefore only find a couple of her designs on her site; thankfully the one on her stand that caught my eye is one of them.

Makki’s Electric Disco on trend eelskin clutch (the picture really doesn’t do it justice) is made from the softest leather I’ve touched in, well, a long while and the shocking pink that she had on display is so striking that I simply had to tell you about it. At £105, you just won’t be disappointed when it pops through your letterbox...

quirklesQuirkles was the other stand that I fell for at Pulse. Textile designer Rebecca Shreeve doesn’t sell online via her own site (yet) but you can snap up Milton the bat, Neville the mole and Tilly the shrew at All Things Original . Trust me they’re divine.

Oh so talented Rebecca doesn’t sell online (and is unlikely to) but you can email her through her site with your requirements. For a fabulous fascinator (prices start at £50) look no further...
