An Inspiration To Us All...

The retail world and the beauty industry has lost a true great.
 Anita Roddick was an inspiration. She was a tireless pioneer of animal rights and she proved that beauty could be fabulous without being tested on animals.
Ahead of her time, Anita was into all things green long before it had even occurred to anyone else - encouraging customers to bring back their empty pots and have them refilled.
Personally, I look back with nostalgia... Saturday school shopping trips to Windsor were spent deliberating and deciding between yet another bottle of White Musk or perhaps a change to Dewberry...
And in more recent years her body butters have never failed to delight.
Sadly for Anita, she didn’t really have the opportunity to sit back and enjoy her own success – she had recently decided to take a step back and had sold The Body Shop  to cosmetics giant Loreal. She was just 64.
Her legacy: people can make changes; they can make a difference.
