These really are the best ever chocolate brownies. Perfect for picnic tea or serve with strawberries for an easy pudding.
Ingredients
112g butter
112g dark chocolate
285g soft light brown sugar
4 large eggs
225g plain flour
42g cocoa powder
Preheat over to 180C/gas mark 4
Butter and flour a 30cmx35cm baking tin.
Dice the butter and break up the chocoate then place it all in a saucepan. Heat gently to melt and mix them together thoroughly.
Beat the eggs in a bowl, add the sugar, flour, cocoa powder and melted chocolate mixture. Make sure all the ingredients are very well combined, then pour this mixture into the baking tin.
Bake in oven for about 15 minutes. It’s important that the middle is still gooey when you take the brownies out of the oven so if in doubt, under cool them. Cool in the tin and then cut into small squares.
Delicious served warmish with vanilla icecream or allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container.
