Blue Monday...

They say that January's supposed to be the most depressing month of the year and with all the talk of Blue Monday (the day last week that experts claim is the unhappiest day of the year) glaring at us from every newspaper, magazine, TV and radio channel, it’s not really surprising that we do all feel a bit glum.

You almost feel obliged.

As I was beginning to join the rest of the nation and wallow about all the New Year’s resolutions I’ve failed to keep (yes I know me too and it hasn't even been a month), the grizzly grey weather that was hitting the window and the alcohol free detox that I definitely haven't stuck too, I thought I'd sit down and enjoy some of the transitional pieces hitting the shelves.

Well, they put a smile right back on my face...

Obviously it didn’t take me long to hit Net A Porter and as usual they were bang on the mark with the most delicious dresses and tops around.

It took some serious willpower not to get the credit out but seeing as it’s still only January I thought their price point might be a bit too indulgent.

So next click was Topshop to see if they could offer me something more on the debit front. They’re never far behind in the style stakes and are constantly adding new designs to make sure we all look on trend - all year round and even in sale season.

I instantly fell for their Premium High Boot and found it far to delectable too resist... I know I should be watching the pennies post Christmas but they do say that a girl can never have too many shoes...
