Chocolate Heaven... In Pregnancy

Wow what a week. We’ve just launched a Mums Eco Change Bag at The Scottish Baby Show with amazing feedback. We spoke at the Scotland Parent seminars 7 times (phew) all about pregnancy health and birth.

The show was a fabulous opportunity to meet some wonderful people - we especially loved Hayley at Baby Deluxe for her skyscraper heals and Colin, from Jackson Reece’s drive to make eco wipes for babes an option for all parents.

After a few long days at the conference I finally sit down with a glass of wine to catch up on all the news. Apparently tomatoes have all these new found health benefits – didn’t we already know that tomatoes are healthy? And does salsa on my kettle chips count?

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a tomato but I can’t confess to raiding the fridge for them.

But better news was to follow. Chochaholics will be delighted to hear that research has found that reaching for the choc may not be as naughty as we thought; it might actually help prevent specific complications in pregnancy - great news!

So if you have a bump – I’d recommend you peruse the range at Prestat; the White Chocolate Banoffee Truffles need no explanation.

When I was pregnant with cherub number three, flavour of the month on the research front was pilchards – apparently they help reduce babies’ future chances of allergies. Hmm...

I made many a trip to the deli for my regular dose of pilchards. If only it had been chocolate in my time!
