Early Mornings & Accessories...

Last Thursday was busy. First stop was a visit to Louboutin to take back my favourite shoes – a S/S patent nude peep toe with bow. They were a present from hubby and after one too many at a wedding the other weekend, one of the bows came off. When I woke up on Sunday morning with a headache, a bowless Louboutin and a bust laptop (again) I was feeling pretty blue...

But Louboutin couldn’t have been nicer and my pride and joys are winging their way to Paris to be repaired as we speak. (Now that’s good service for you.)

Next stop was a coffee with the Harvey Nichols press office followed by a glass of fizz at the relaunch of Wolford boutique (loving the Net & Lace tights collection) and finally, a slot with Nicky Kinnaird, founder of Space.NK. If there’s an article about an entrepreneur or an inspirational business woman I’ll read it so, I was intrigued to meet the lady who is responsible for bringing the best niche beauty brands to the UK.

Nicky did not disappoint. Beautiful skin, the glossiest hair (honestly) and very engaging. She told us her day begins at 5.30am with a run or a game of tennis, generally a bit of ‘me’ time.

I left with good intentions to get up earlier in the mornings. I also left feeling I wanted to splash out on accessories. Nicky was dressed in a stylish but simple outfit wearing a fabulous Marni necklace. Apparently accessories are her key - especially as she travels a lot.

This morning didn’t quite go to plan (5.30am is just TOO early) but I have ordered myself the most fabulous Bex Rox necklace...
