Fabulous Flapjacks

Cooking Time – 15-20 minutes

Calories, forget the calories, these are the best flapjacks you will ever taste. Like brownies, just make sure you don’t over bake them. They’re definitely best eaten on the day you make them but will last well for quite some time in an airtight tin.

Ingredients

  • 150g butter
  • 150g brown sugar
  • 150g Scott’s porridge oats

Melt the butter and sugar together in a saucepan over a gentle heat. Add the oats and mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

Grease a shallow baking tin measuring approximately 18cm by 28cm (7”x11”) and spread the mixture onto the tin.

Bake at 180C (gas mark 4) for 15-20 minutes. Take out of the oven and allow to cool slightly before marking into small bar sizes. Remove from tin when completely cold.

Serve with a cup of coffee mid morning or a pot of tea at tea time. Heaven.
