Pashminas and Pearls' Blog

Not one to venture South of the River, Pashminas and Pearls is to be seen trotting up and down London's King's Road, shopping (though she adores the ease of shopping online!), dining, socialising with her fellow Fulhamites and sharing her adventures on her blog.

Her favourite online stores are LKBennett.com, JohnLewis.com, ArgentLondon.com, DormyHouse.com and LauraAshley.com.

Getting Busy Nesting...

Published on Tuesday 1st April 2008

graham-and-green-camellia-prints-in-mirror-frames.jpg Rather than waste this precious time off work, I decided to take advantage of my clear days and really focus my energies on sorting out my little flat.

I’ve got a terrible habit of putting things off and as a result, some of the finishing touches to my flat have taken the brunt of it!

Whilst spring cleaning and doing the odd bit of DIY (well supervising Green Fingers’ DIY...!) it occurred to me that we’d ignored the spare room and it had somehow become more of a dumping ground than the pretty spare room I had first imagined. The off white walls were shouting out for some colour so my first job was to find something to put up.

graham-and-green-jamie-lady-table.jpg Rather than trawling London’s galleries when I could be gossiping with the girls, I decided to have a look on the web instead, at least to find some inspiration. As usual I struck gold and found just what I’d been looking for: Graham and Green – I love their King’s Road store and I now love their online shop even more!

I found the perfect set of prints to make my spare room look more like the ‘guest room’ Pashminas and Pearls should have!

The camellia prints will really brighten up the room and the frames go perfectly with all their 50’s style mirrored furniture I love... Their Jamie Lady Table would really go rather well...

Choccie Delights...

Thursday 13th March 2008

It seems like an age ago that Lent began... all those that gave up chocolate for Lent will sympathise. Forty days and forty nights have never felt so eternal and torturous! Thank goodness Easter is almost upon us now and I can revert to my favourite indulgence once again. Going...

Getting Creative...

Wednesday 27th February 2008

Having decided that the financial world wasn’t quite right for Pashminas and Pearls, she’s now getting very used to (and rather enjoying!) being a lady of leisure…albeit temporarily! I think Green Fingers is getting a little concerned I’m enjoying it too much, although he is appreciating a happier P &...

Luxury Linen is A Worthwhile Investment...

Thursday 14th February 2008

Having properly settled into my little flat again and feeling thoroughly decadent, I decided to invest in a new set of bed linen to complete my newly decorated abode. The feeling of curling up on high quality linen is really rather wonderful so rather than going to the Peter Jones linen department...

Hints In Every Right Direction...

Thursday 31st January 2008

It’s getting to that time of year when us girls start to wonder whether, and hope that, our desks will soon be adorned with beautiful flowers and our doormats covered with pink and red envelopes... Yes, Valentine’s Day is almost upon us once again and only a couple of weeks of ground...

Sale Heaven

Friday 11th January 2008

Pashminas and Pearls doesn’t do the sales well so when one of my favourite clothes shops went online, I realised that sale shopping couldn’t get any easier than sitting at my desk and browsing through the rails. Far rather that than having to make a special trip with the masses on a...
