Hair Haven...
Admittedly absolutely nothing beats having your hair done to make you feel fresh but I am 100% set in my ways when it comes to hairdressers and have been known to have slight (well, ok more than slight) diva tendencies if I'm not happy with the outcome!
Having been scarred by endless hideous hairstyles as a child it's really not surprising that this is how I've ended up and once I finally found someone that understood me (and didn't give me a mullet or a mohawk) I haven't looked back.
That was until a friend recommended the new Gielly Green salon. Located just off the ever trendy Marylebone high street, the salon is based on a boutique hotel design and includes a Butter London Nail Bar, Amanda Birch beauty rooms, a bar and of course a hair haven.
I was introduced to co-founder Shai who took one look at my rain-soaked mop and decided things needed to change.
The conclusion was half a head of highlights to give me a lift for the summer months and a cut to put a bit of style back into what was really a boring and very overgrown bob.
So, magazine in hand I sat back and let Shai work his magic. What felt like minutes later I had a head of foils which were so immaculate it looked like a work of art.
But the best part? The washing of the hair. No more sore, stiff necks from hard sinks, but instead leather beds imported from Japan which electronically raise you up, lie you down and pad your neck while your hair is washed, head massaged and you generally go into a sleep induced state!
A quick style with the scissors and the best blow dry I have ever had, I was red carpet ready!
Shai you are my shining star!

Pure Peppermint Passport Style...
So the wedding has been and gone and boy was it a blast! In fact I would even go so far as to say it was one of the best weekends I've ever had and I was only a bridesmaid! The bride and groom are well on their way to sunny Ibiza for...

Bridesmaid Bargain...
The countdown is officially on in our family. The first of four daughters is getting married in nine days time. Another wedding I hear you say? Well yes, but in a family of six and only one man (yes, my poor father) this is, quite possibly, the biggest event in our...

Be Couture...
Finding the perfect bag is a task in itself; in fact I’d say it follows closely behind finding the perfect pair of jeans, which by the way, I’m still on the hunt for! The amount of times I’ve seen a bag and thought if only it was in a lighter colour, I just wish...

Sneaky Saturday Shopping Sprees...
Shopping online has come into its own for me lately. With one thing and another, weekends are not really something that I’m blessed with at the moment and sneaky Saturday shopping sprees have definitely had to take a back seat for the time being. So, to give myself that fashion fix I’ve been longing...

Hankering for Hermes...
Say the word ‘Hermes’ to me and my whole face lights up. There’s something so French, so chic and, at the moment, so untouchable, that it makes me love it even more. At our recent SheerLuxe networking event I was introduced to Maria, the founder of Rodial, and my eyes were instantly drawn...
