Hankering for Hermes...

Say the word ‘Hermes’ to me and my whole face lights up. There’s something so French, so chic and, at the moment, so untouchable, that it makes me love it even more.

At our recent SheerLuxe networking event I was introduced to Maria, the founder of Rodial, and my eyes were instantly drawn to her tan Birkin... absolute heaven and boy, did she wear it well! Unfortunately this is way off my radar for now but it did reignite my love for all things stamped with that magic ‘H’.

Their Enamel Bracelets have been on my lust list for some time now but in this current economic climate I’m not sure that I can categorise one as a necessity.

A new spring/summer bag maybe, some spring denim obviously, but an expensive fashion bangle? I think not...

Luckily, enamel bracelets appear to be the accessory of the season with everyone from Matthew Williamson, Mulberry and even Joules giving their own take on them.

For something a bit more – dare I say it – recession friendly, head to Anna Lou of London, where I came across an Hermes lookalike whilst on the hunt for my Debit Credit feature. Their Grey Illusion bangle is bang on trend and at £45 is a bit of a bargain too...
