Here Comes the Sun

There’s just something about the start of summer that brings a smile to every one’s face. Along with the small burst of warm weather, we are treated to an alfresco lifestyle with garden parties, BBQs and quintessentially British events like the Polo, Wimbledon and Royal Ascot that bring us together out in the great outdoors.
The warm weather also brings a huge smile to the face of my son Jake, who is guaranteed, year on year, to be the first in the Curran household to be sporting a pair of shorts and running around in the garden.
Living in France before we launched My-Wardrobe, we were used to months spent outside, but now back home in Leicestershire, we run for the garden furniture as soon as we see a glimmer of sunshine.
Like everything in life, each season, I feel the garden needs a Spring clean and a restyle. Actual gardening aside, for me, accessorising the garden is as much fun as accessorising my Summer wardrobe.
This year, I invested in a pair of eastern-inspired wind lights from Lombok, this beautiful wooden swing for Jake, and a few floral deck chairs.
Having worked hard to prepare the garden for the flurry of BBQs and outside entertaining, I decided to treat myself to By Malene Birger’s Montoya maxi dress. Perfect for lazing around in my newly styled alfresco haven…
