Let The Wedding Season Begin... Published on Monday 12th May 2008
For me, this weekend marked the kick off to the summer wedding season and if they’re all as fabulous as Saturday’s then I’m in for some good times. Glorious sun, delicious food, pink champagne (lots of it) and a bride and groom that are a match made in heaven.
Groans and moans from hung-over guests resonated across Berkshire yesterday, testament to the party that followed...
From the stiff white invitations to the conventional church service, this weekend’s wedding was a traditional affair but when it’s all a little more laid back and things like wedding lists don’t feature, coming up with a fitting gift, isn’t always that easy.
The next wedding in my diary fits the above bill and I’ve been wracking my brain for a gift that’s a) thoughtful and b) that they won’t have already (they’re pretty well kitted out on the home front).
Wracking my brain... and then, like magic, a press release popped into my inbox.
The Gluttonous Gardener’s Wedding Day Crate contains an appropriately named rambling ready to plant wedding day rose, a bottle of champagne and a pair of superb Swiss Felco Secateurs.
Guaranteed to continue thriving for years to come after the happy day and supply the lucky recipient with a lifetime of roses.
Can’t believe I didn’t think of it sooner.
