Jill's Blog
Jill, old enough not to want to give away her age, is mother to four demanding daughters that keep her on her toes when it comes to anything retail and beauty related.
Jill much prefers shopping online to fighting the masses instore and her favourite websites include EveLom.co.uk, OkaDirect.com, TimeToSpa.co.uk, Inverawe.co.uk and FormanAndField.com (the latter two keep the men in the family smiling!).
MOTB: The Wedding
Published on Friday 29th May 2009
Well, it’s all over. The happy couple are on their honeymoon, the marquee is down, I've given away most of the amazing flowers and the dress is in its bag waiting to be sent away to be cleaned and packed. In fact, looking out of the study window no-one would believe that anything had happened…
But it did and boy, did it go well. The weather stayed dry despite the most awful forecast, the make-up artist did a brilliant job, and the hairdresser is in a class of her own - everyone’s hair looked simply amazing.
As for the bride, she looked like a DREAM, ‘The Dress’ was wonderful, the bridesmaids were totally beautiful, and the grandmother looked terrific, as did her grandson in his first outing in a morning suit.
And the FOTB looked so good I could have married him all over again but if he didn’t want to then I might have pinched daughter No.3’s boyfriend who escorted me up the aisle.
It was a truly amazing ceremony with the bridegroom grinning so much I thought his jaw might break. I’ll never forget how they were cheered as they walked back down the aisle.
We had the photographs done in the garden and I have to say I absolutely love the MOTBG’s hat - a brilliant creation in a gold coloured straw.
Cook and Buttle excelled with the food, 007Teez were a rocking band, the photo booth was an outstanding success and the flowers and the cake...
OK I’ll shut up. I wish we were doing it all again this weekend but we might need to refill the coffers before the next one!
