It seems that we’re all in need of some cheering up. (Especially if like me you went to see The Duchess last week and drowned your popcorn in tears!)

With the weekend’s sunshine so short lived and news that the financial markets are in such dire straits, a few pick me ups are definitely in order.

I for one, after a busy week backstage at the shows, could do with a few regenerating skin products. Early mornings and late nights have taken their toll on my skin so I’ve booked myself in for the Hangover Herbie at Bliss. (If mine is suffering then I dread to think about all the models whose skin has been used as a canvas for over a hundred make-up artists.)

Working at the shows each season is the absolute highlight of my job. I just thrive on being a busy bee backstage. I can’t wait to one day be buzzing around in New York, Milan and Paris... all in good time!

This season my highlight was the Luella show; a real pick me up from the down in the dumps mood of the country at present.

Her designs celebrated English eccentricity with the addition of neon orange, fluorescent pinks and lavenders, and lots of patterns, frills and bows to go around.

Sounds bizarre I know but it was a truly genius fusion of harmonious chaos (if there is such a thing).

Perhaps already longing for S/S 09 is jumping the gun a little... the Luella A/W collection is also super exciting, and full of pieces I have on my birthday wish list. (The Paisley bunny T-shirt being one!)
