My little Mouse... Published on Thursday 23rd August 2007
For those of you that have been following my pooch hunt I thought you might be interested to know that I’ve finally got one!
Yes little Mouse (as named by her breeder but it’s so divine we didn’t think for a second about changing it) is an absolute honey.
I say that, after less than twenty-four hours in our care, a three hour drive north of Cambridge and back in the pouring rain (what else), and an hour’s sleep (me that is - she slept by my feet whilst I sat at my computer) during her first night with us (she was only eight weeks and was missing her mummy) I was wondering if it was possible to return a pup...
After a lot of advice the following day, and feeling very cold hearted, we let her cry for the next couple of nights; I’m relieved to say that she’s getting better every day.
And whilst I’m determined not to let her sleep in our bedroom, she’s going to be one very spoilt little dog.
The Oka bed has been ordered (for now she’s in a Burberry Dog Carrier that my step mother brought her then puppy to wind up my father) - the Katharine Pooley was a little over budget, the Mungo & Maud double dog bowl is firmly ensconced in the kitchen, and the Pet London toys are flying through the door like they’re going out of fashion.
They don’t call it pet paraphernalia for nothing.
But if you’re a proud parent to your own four legged little friend, you’ll agree they’re worth every penny.
Now no more pooch talk for a while I promise.
