Precious skin...
Published on Thursday 30th November 2006

If you aren't sensible enough to have realised it already, your skin is precious and it needs looking after. Not just because it's our bodies largest organ but because it's all we have and however much botox you may plan on having, it's never quite the same as naturally healthy skin.

Only after eighteen years in the industry, ten spent working as a facialist in New York and then helping set up the one and only Bliss Spa in London, did Kirsty McLeod feel in a strong enough position to launch her own line of specialised skincare products aimed at leaving the skin nourished, cleansed, revitalised and glowing.

It's a range that's petro chemical and paraben (ie.nasties) free and uses only the very best peptides (upmarket proteins!) and anti-aging ingredients. What's more, she has kept it simple and uncomplicated and down to a line of just six products that are multi-tasking. Kirsty doesn't claim that her range will make you look ten years younger but they've certainly made my skin look and feel healthier.

I'd definitely recommend the Revitalising Vitamin Booster (£48). It's packed full of vitamins that help to revitalise cell renewal, protect and repair skin cells. If you've got young skin then this is what you should be using as a preventative.

She also does a great Smooth and Lift Serum (£58) that contains Hexapeptides to actively relax facial muscles, smooth fine lines and wrinkles, as well as a few of other products (a cleanser, a moistuiser and a balm).

But, the Kirsty McLeod hero product is the Clarifying Clay Exfoliator (£28). This multi-tasking product contains Pineapple Extract and works as an exfoliator, a mask and an overnight spot treatment in one! Now that's value for money.

You won't be disappointed with the packaging either. The lime green swirls against the clean white packaging is so attractive that you'll want to display them in your boudoir.
