When you work in the world of publishing and retail you're always a season ahead. I’ve spent the last couple of weeks trawling around Christmas (yes Christmas) press days. There are some real treats in store this year and the ideas for the Christmas gift guide are already flowing.

For most, the thought of Christmas in July sounds like h*ll and last year, browsing chunky knits in scorching sun (yes there was some) it was for me too.

This year, with the rain thundering down (a month’s worth in a day - how is that possible?!) it didn’t seem quite so bad. In fact I've actually been getting quite excited at the prospect of A/W. And whilst the sales are on, I've been searching for things that can carry me through to Autumn and beyond.

I’ve found the most divine Sarah Berman leather jacket that'll do just that. It was worn by one of the uber glam founders of Rous Iland at our SheerLuxe etailer conference a couple of weeks ago and boy did she wear it well...

At £367 it's still an investment piece (leather jackets generally are) but should definitely be snapped up as it's a fraction of the original price...
