Saturday Shopping...
Published on Friday 4th April 2008

A couple of years ago I'd have been there every weekend but now, thanks to online shopping, I do almost everything in my power to avoid the hustle and bustle of the shops, especially on a Saturday. Last weekend however, I had to make the dreaded trip to return a pair of shoes which however pretty they were, just didn't fit! Cinderella won't go to the ball.

Greeted by rail after rail of blush (one of my favourite colours for the season) at first, the experience turned out not to be quite as bad as anticipated and for a moment I wondered whether I might be rekindling my love for Saturday's spent shopping.

Hot and bothered in minutes, looking like I’d been dragged through a hedge backwards, I ended up leaving the shop with nothing, except my shoes which I was supposed to be taking back. Mission unaccomplished!

Back home, curled up on the sofa with a glass of wine in hand I logged on and entered round two of trying to find something to replace my shoes. Now fully relaxed, clean hair and no queues (much more enjoyable) I found what I didn't know I'd been looking for. It wasn't shoes but it is beautiful!

I've found the most divine Knot Front Dress (blush of course) that'll be perfect for summer dressed up with heels or down with flats.

Unfortunately I'm not blessed with Gisele's olive skin so in order to wear my new purchase I’ll have to invest in a few bottles of St Tropez to carry it off. Bring on the summer season...
