Staring School: Boogie Baby

I’ve done it before, 2 years ago, and I’ve just had to do it again with number 2.

That wave as your newly dressed (and hopefully brave four year old) child enters school for the first time under the wing of an ever so young teacher. That lump in your throat as you force yourself to turn and walk away. Boy is it hard.

Whilst starting school is understandably difficult for mums (and let’s not forget the stay at home dads out there) it’s also difficult for the wee ones who’ve had playmates and entertainment on tap throughout the school holidays.

With two now at school and one left at home, it has got me thinking about how to keep the little one busy. Not that this is usually a problem – we own more Little Experience Create It kits and JoJo Maman Bebe toddler toys than you could imagine but I’m looking to widen my horizons.

Going anywhere with one child is far easier than it is with three (takes one back to memories of the first child that you took everywhere and anywhere and still led a relatively independent life with!) so I’m keen to get out of the house.

I quite fancy the new idea of Baby Loves Disco. I say new, needless to say it’s already hugely popular in the States but it has just made it across the pond.

Get your glad rags on, dance your heart away at an afternoon dance party for little ones and remember those years gone by... something that’ll definitely help ease the stress of the new school year!
