Style that doesn't scrimp on comfort... Published on Thursday 9th November 2006
There seems to be a mad rush of retailers desperately trying to get their ecommerce facilities up and running on their websites in time to benefit from Christmas trading. It's not really surprising considering that most of them do about a third of their annual sales over the festive period.
Not that I'm complaining mind - it's so exciting to see them all appear. The newest little gem, and definitely one for your Christmas list is Crumpet , a small new cashmere company where they're absolutely passionate about what they do.
The range isn't huge as they're still relatively new but what's there is chic, comfortable and cosy. A couple of my favourite pieces are this Chunky Cable Cardi (£275) and this Deep V Cardi (£175). Keep it up to date belted over a simple T or layered over a single ply jumper.

For a winter dinner party or Christmas drinks, you really can't beat simple cashmere with a smart sharp trouser and some drop dead heels. Teamed with some show stoppingly fabulous jewellery, you just can't go wrong. This Super Soft Simple V (£160) and this Lace Yoke Sweater (£95) are just the thing.

Last, but by no means least, come this Jogging Suit (Hoodie £180, Pants £220). What better way to spend a hung-over Sunday, cold winter's night after a long day's work or a dull January day, than curled up on the sofa in a cashmere suit such as this. The ultimate in luxe and well worth every penny.

Take it from me - there are masses and masses of cashmere companies out there and Crumpet looks set to be one of the special ones.
