The Final Countdown

Just two weeks to go until the big day...can you believe it?!

Somehow we've managed to get quite a few things sorted recently with only minimal disagreements with Mum. I’m working through the table plan and Order of Service, have my final dress fitting this week, and have sent the playlist to the DJ!

Mum has met with the organist and sewn an extra layer of tulle onto the flower girl's dress so thankfully everything is coming together.

I’m mentally preparing myself for a few surprises on the night of the wedding…the band will surely spring a few numbers on us, but we are very excited regardless. Our rings are being made and my Mum is drying garden leaves under all the rugs in the house (don't ask!)

At last I’ve found a local hairdresser and will be going to see a wonderful Bobbi Brown make up stylist.

My pale complexion has been bothering me quite a bit... the dream of a weekend getaway in Egypt or somewhere warm is unfortunately not in my distant future, so I have only two weeks to decide whether or not self tanning is a good idea.

So many details to finalise with such little time...do we need confetti or do people bring their own? What should we get as gifts? Flowers from Marks? Diptyque candles? Have I forgotten any great songs I should have sent the DJ? Did we make any mistakes on the table plan and put two ex's next to each other? Will the Vicar remember not to say OBEY?!

There most certainly won’t be any sales shopping for me. I’ll have to walk past the Agent Provocateur store and stop myself from browsing through Net-a-Porter this Christmas but it's all worth it!
