I’m reeling. Reeling from the whirlwind that is London Fashion Week and the double whirlwind that is the start of the new fashion season. Not that the two events are on the same page, mind: former was about next spring (happily, in weather like this I can imagine next spring) and the latter is about autumn/winter (happily, in weather like this the term only conjures up crispness and long afternoons dappled in sunshine).

But to return to the reeling: mixed in this week was all the financial panic (as an ex-banker stuff of this magnitude still rivets me and of course, as a high-fashion retailer I watch things like Lehman going bust and wonder where it will all end). So suffice it to say, I am feeling pretty tightly wound up.

My mother always taught me that when the going gets tough, the tough get a serious massage and some attendant body-love. Physical well-being in times of acute tension has a direct bearing on mental well-being. No question about it.
