Wicked Wind & Rain...

Published on Thursday 20th March 2008

I find this time of year an absolute nightmare when it comes to getting dressed in the morning. Having pretty much wiped out my winter wardrobe and rolled in my new summer stock, I’m now ready and raring for some sunshine. Shame the weather’s not thinking the same thing...

nap mike and chris clarence trench coatAs my alarm went off on Monday morning to get me to the gym, I took one peep through the curtains, saw the buckets of water literally falling out of the sky and hurricane winds battering my window and swiftly hopped back into bed for a few more minutes in the warmth.

Round two of the alarm and the dreaded decision of what to wear to keep me dry, warm and generally stopping me from resembling a drowned rat. Sadly an all in one waterproof and wellies were out of the question so I had to make the most of what I’d got.

After trying on most of my wardrobe, jeans, boots, a chunky knit (dragged out again) nipped in with my new summer belt and my slightly tired trench coat was the answer. Although it did the job that day it made me realise the importance of a good one when living in this country.

So the wind has dropped but the rain is set to continue (as usual) so I've been scouring the web for a new trench. I’ve found this Mike & Chris Clarence Trench which I think will do just the job in the next downfall.
