Winter Warmers...
Published on Friday 2nd November 2007
As the nights draw in, the leaves fall and the temperature plummets quicker than I can turn my wardrobe round, I think it’s about time to invest in a few staple winter warmers.
So what’s it to be... a new chunky knit, woolly coat, jeans, boots, scarf, hat....I could go on. Actually what I'm really after (if I do have to narrow it down) is a pair of boots.
Now you know as well as I do that the choice out there at this time of year is more than extensive to say the least but having trawled the web I've managed to find a pair that are to die for!
Firstly I needed to make the grand old decision of heels or flats... I'm not totally blessed in the height department so heels would be the obvious solution but when you’re running around day and night, it seems like flats may be the practical option.
All seemed to fall into place when I found Stella McCartney’s Courdroy Velvet boots. Wonderfully wintery warm and with a 'wearable' heel that would work for almost any occasion, it seems I might have found my boots for this Autumn/Winter.
With a pair of skinnys, a gorgeous knit nipped in at the waist and on oversized bag for day or, a little black dress, a swing jacket and a clutch for night, they really could work with the rest of my wardrobe.
So it seems I have made my decision. Heels mightn't be the most practical option but then again, they do say that pain is beauty.
