Well here we are enjoying Valentine’s Day, the 8th anniversary of the meeting of the BTB and her groom, and the pace is hotting up.
We’re measuring the little bridesmaid and page boy which is very chancy as when they are little they can have growth spurts which render the ordered garments a little on the short side.
Shoes are still to be decided upon. Several pairs have arrived on the doorstep but so far none have passed muster, keeping the Post Office busy with returns.
I’m extremely excited as I’ve made the trip to
Joel’s to choose the materials for my outfit and have even ordered my shoes – although as they haven’t arrived yet they may well be winging their way back too.
Then there is the hat problem. I normally go for up-sweeping hats to give me some height but I’m wondering if I should opt for something a bit more traditional this time, so yet again I’ve been trawling the web and had loads of fun trying to find a possible titfer for the big day.
First I looked through
Stephen Jones,
Nigel Rayment and
James Lock & Co. Then on to the girls -
Beth Morgan, Sophie I and
Gina Foster all produce stunning pieces, but at the moment my favourite by far is
Coconut from the SS12 collection at
Hostie Hats. I think it would fit the bill very well but am I brave enough to order it without the approval of the BTB? Probably not but there is a chance we might agree...I hope!
