A Gift For: A Mum-To-Be

A gift for a mum-to-be
If your best friend, daughter, sister or colleague has recently found out that she’s expecting for the first time, treat her to a little something to relieve all that angst and anticipation (not to mention the stretchmarks) that she’s likely to be facing...
You’ll find a whole host of gift ideas for the expectant mother (and father) at luxe maternity and children’s boutique, Blossom Mother & Child. Their pharmacy is fully stocked with all she’ll need to get through the next nine months and beyond.
If she’s in the early stages of pregnancy and is spending more time running to the bathroom than browsing baby boutiques then she’ll no doubt appreciate some of Mommy's Bliss Morning Sickness Magic (pictured left); a highly effective herbal supplement formulated to help ease nausea during pregnancy.
Celebratory baby blankets and cashmere baby grows may well be flying through the letter box at the rate of knots but why not treat her to a little pampering instead.
A lot of spa treatments are advised against whilst pregnant so instead, treat her to Basq’s Deluxe Gift Set (pictured right). Containing two Basq favourites to ease fatigue and prevent stretch marks, it's the perfect gift for the mother to be.
To do list top priority whilst pregnant is surely to pick the perfect baby name. Suggestions from parents, friends, siblings and possibly even old Aunties, will be pouring in left, right and centre.
No parent-to-be should make their decision without being fully informed. Naming Your Baby (pictured left) is the essential A-Z guide of names. It contains over 1,500 possible choices that include old-fashioned, modern, unusual and the most popular that in a bid to be original, they might just want to avoid.
On a more serious note, the next nine months are set to be a steep learning curve with lots of preparation. Especially for a first time mum.
In a friendly and funny tone, and set out in a helpful week by week format, best-selling book The Rough Guide to Pregnancy and Birth (pictured right) gives some of the soundest, sanest, wittiest advice you'll ever get about life as an expectant mum.
If she's despairing at the fact that her toned and taught body is never to be the same again then treat her to some luxe lingerie that'll have her desperate to show off her new physique.
Amoralia's glamorous Nougatine collection is available in classic blush/black or ivory/gold (pictured left) with a range of matching briefs and includes a divine demi-thong and cute tie-side French knicker.
Finally if you know that she’ll be breathing a sigh of relief that the calorie counting, personal training and slimming mud wraps can go on the back burner for the next nine months then when not treat her to the ultimate indulgent gift.
Send a gift basket form Beverly Bills Bakery (pictured right) and she can scoff the lot, safe in the knowledge that any trouser button that needs undoing in front of the office can be put down to the blooming baby to be...
