Crisp mornings, clear skies and chilly nights: there’s no escaping the fact that autumn has at last arrived and here at Sheerluxe HQ we’re gearing up for the most stylish season of the year. From feminine footwear, cinched-in waists and smart tailoring, fashion has gone all sexy and structured and with it comes a whole new look for face and nails.
Forget the playful pinks and corals of summer: this season embraces seductive glamour, gothic twists and deep intimate tones. Think purples, magentas and ruby reds – balanced out with versatile greys and velvety neutrals - for a smouldering look and a bold juxtaposition with fashion’s masculine lines. Keep the base natural – even pale – with just a bite of colour on cheeks but do make a statement of eyes or lips with smudgy colour and lots of layers.
Texture is important so choose glosses, semi-mattes, velvets and silky creams with warm threads of metallic gold or bronze to add extra glint. Silvery spiders-web greys or glossy plums are on trend for nails; elsewhere, groomed brows, a flawless complexion and soft flake-free lips are more important than ever.
