Clean Sweep

Forget handbags and shoes, when it comes to looking stylish a clear complexion glowing with health is the only accessory you really need. So if yours is anything other than perfect, its time to implement a proper skincare regime; starting with a decent cleanser that is skin type-specific and with blemish busting, rehydrating or anti-ageing properties as required.

A good cleanser should dissolve makeup, declog pores and sweep away impurities to leave skin soft, supple and plump but whether you plump for a rinse-off formula or one that is applied to dry skin and removed with cotton wool or muslin is simply a matter of personal choice.

For a quick and easy get-away in the morning, a foaming cream or gel that rinses away with water tends to be the best choice. Those with dry or sensitive skins often prefer the soothing texture of a milk or balm while oil formulas are often the best choice for oily skins, helping to control imbalances in sebum production. Stick religiously to a twice-daily regime – morning and evening, no matter how late – and you’ll soon see results.
