If you’ve ever spent time watching Nigella, Martha or practically any other celebrity cook in the kitchen you’ll have noticed a constant companion. A beautiful companion that vies for camera time without even trying and... usually gets it. A companion that is at once traditional and sturdy, offering confidence in all its abilities whilst maintaining a beautiful, modern and witty exterior.

A companion that when spotted in store has men and women alike running their hands across its smooth body and lamenting the fact that this particular model doesn’t yet sit atop their kitchen worktop.

There is perhaps only one brand of kitchenware that elicits such extraordinary responses and such exaggerated emotive reactions...

Folks, it has to be the KitchenAid.

Therein lays the joy my friends. It really doesn’t matter which part of the KitchenAid range you own; you’ll get perfection from any member.

Of course the piece de resistance is the KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer (pictured left). It sits there like the Imperial State crown, urging people to touch it, caress it and whip out a bag of flour.

The cream KitchenAid Ultra Power Blender (pictured right) has been a firm friend for four years now and it looks, sounds and works as well as it did the day I unwrapped it...

Carrie Bradshaw always said that the only thing she used her oven for was more storage. I’ll also bet my last penny that if she started stepping out with one of Manhattan’s top chefs she’d soon find herself as potty about KitchenAid as she is about Manolos and would soon be whipping up batches of butter cream cupcakes in the dead of night.

What I’m trying to say is that the KitchenAid family is a product range of such usability and style that even the most hardened of good time city girls or boys succumb to its charms. Over the previous three weeks I’ve been writing about the importance of keeping lists. If there was ever a need to get out your Christmas list, it’s now!
