Personal style is all about meticulous grooming so however on-trend your wardrobe may be and no matter how much you splashed out for your fab new heels, the real secret to looking utterly gorgeous lies in the very basics: clean white teeth, clear skin, manicured nails and, of course, a healthy head of glossy hair. But if your hair is more dry and brittle than it is shiny and soft, it’s time to take serious action.

Hair is easily stressed by wind, rain, sunshine and pollution as well as air conditioning, central heating and the intense heat created by styling tools so just as skin occasionally needs an extra shot of moisture, a regular treatment with an intensive conditioner will help to restore softness and shine, repair damage and reduce the risk of breakage.

Once applied, boost results by sealing in heat and moisture with cling film or a plastic shower cap, and to keep hair in great condition in between treatments, always carry an umbrella, use a silk pillowcase (to smooth and reduce static) and have ends trimmed every 6-10 weeks.
