Where is it?
1 Courtnell Street, Notting Hill, London W2 5BU
www.PacificaDaySpa.co.uk
The line
A little slice of heaven just off trendy Ledbury Road.
The scene
Styled with bamboo, flowing water and natural greenery, Pacifica has been designed to tantalise the senses and deliver perfect escapism whilst providing shelter from the stresses and mundanities of everyday life. Treatment rooms are simple but stylish with warm towels and professional friendly therapists.
Elsewhere, there’s an intimate colour therapy room as well as an aroma steam room which can be booked separately for use with an individually-tailored blend of essential oils. Offering tea, coffee and herbal beverages, the SKIN bar is the perfect place to sample products and collect your thoughts.
Who goes?
Pacifica is popular with locals and attracts city workers who appreciate the late opening hours. Small, discreet and friendly, it is favoured by celebrities who live locally and – as the whole place can be hired out – is great also for hen parties.
The menu
A solid range of treatments for face and body including wraps, facials, massages, reflexology, waxing, tanning, eye treatments, hand and foot treatments and a superb collection of mani-pedis. In addition there are various packages available with the pre-natal and bridal rituals of particular note.
The names
Choose between two of the best premier spa and skincare brands: Elemis and Dermalogica.
We tried
The Deluxe Manicure, £60 for one hour. Initially treated to a soak and scrub to soften and smooth dry patches, hands were then given a massage to boost circulation before an Elemis hand mask was applied. The usual buffing, filing and shaping smartened nails which were then given a coat of OPI colour.
The results
Hands felt incredibly moisturised while nail colour stayed chip-free for a week.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers can be ordered online and redeemed against treatments, packages and products. They aim for next day despatch but a later date can be arranged if you’re planning ahead.
