Nautical Living
Monday 6th July 2009 by Elizabeth Richards
Nothing says summer like a few strategically placed nautical accents, whether you’re going authenthic and decorating a seaside abode, or simply adding beachy breeziness to a country cottage.
Get inspired by nature, with accessories made from raw materials such as shell, driftwood and rope, and a palette of seaside blues, from dazzling turquoise, to calming cornflower. Bird, boat and fish motifs can be sweet in small doses (just don’t overdo it) and never underestimate the power of the ever-classic nautical stripe to bring the seaside into your home.
