For September, Bliss London got our vote.

Where is it?
On London’s trendy Sloane Avenue.

The line
Bliss is an award-winning urban pit-stop for girls on the go.

The scene
With smooth sleek surfaces, masses of glossy white and the most gorgeous locker room we’ve seen in a long time, Bliss may be compact in size but it certainly scores highly in the style stakes. The perky glass-fronted exterior opens into a smart atrium with mani-pedi stations and glass shelves loaded with Bliss goodies while eight treatment rooms and the sauna downstairs are warm and beautifully styled for total escapism.

Who goes?
Busy career girls and local Londoners demanding a seriously stylish beauty fix and looking to stock up on cult branded products.

The menu
Skincare, body treatments, massages, reflexology, waxing, mani-pedis and microdermabrasion.

The names
Treatments use Bliss products while Dr Bragi, This Works, Daniel Hersheson and a whole host of other cult brands are available to buy in the spa store.

Signature treatment
The infamous Triple Oxygen Facial, £145 for 85 minutes, involves intensive cleaning, exfoliation, fruit acid wash, pre-extraction oxygen wrap, extractions, a calming oxygen and milk mask, hydrating enzyme pack and – finally – the famous vitaminized oxygen spray for a radiant complexion whatever your skin type.

We tried:
The hot milk and almond pedicure, £60 for 60 minutes. With any pedicure the key elements are essentially the same: it’s the way in which they are applied that makes the difference between drab and fab. Feet were fiercely buffed with a diamond-sided file, soaked in an aromatic bath of hot milk and almond oil for super-hydration then scrubbed smooth. Nails and cuticles were trimmed and shaped and finally an Essie polish was applied.

The results
Two weeks on, colour remains firmly in place with no chips or scratches whatsoever.

Special mention
Their special speed-waxing technique gives super-smooth results with less pain – great for last minute pre-holiday defuzzing.
