If the sultry hues of last winter weren’t to taste then you’ll have welcomed the gorgeous new looks that floated in with spring with two key trends emerging for this season. Those who loved the natural barely-there look of the last couple of months should update their makeup bag with silky cream or powder eye shadows in lilacs and blues, pale greens, pastel pinks and gently glowing butterscotches.
Cheeks need a sheer but rosy glow (think air-whipped mousses or creams in twinkling pink) while lips slicked with butter-soft lipstick or shimmering gloss in pale coral or reddish-pink complete the effect.
And for those who prefer a stronger look, the much bolder eighties-inspired palette as seen on runway models and schoolgirls alike looks fabulous when applied with care. Crammed with sharp zingy shades, the best results are achieved when only one feature is highlighted at a time so work with a bright pop of colour across lids or neon shades on nails and slick lips with a juicy gloss in cherry red or hot pink.
