Firm & Tone...
Published on Friday 22nd June 2007

No-one has ever claimed that MBTs are anything but unattractive. Don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be wearing them – we’re more than happy to over look the fashion faux pas of clumpy trainers with a skirt for the sake of a firmer derrier.

sweaty betty fit flopsBut with the weather almost warm enough for bare legs, it’s time to make a change, and the Fit-Flop is the obvious choice.

Its creators claim they help burn fat, improve posture and strengthen muscles (so helping to tone your thighs and calves – this bit we like).

Fit-flops have a powerful new built-in micro-wobbleboard workout-enhancing effect and work by making you step more naturally (super comfy as they are, it takes a day or so to get used to) “which activates the slow-twitch muscle fibres in the legs”.

Do they work? Like MBTs (though they're not made by the same people), if you wear them regularly you can feel it in your legs so they must be doing something, and if you haven’t tried MBTs yet then at a fraction of the price (£36) and somewhat less of an eyesore, I’d say it’s worth a go.

Note, if you take a half size, they recommend you go for the full size up (i.e if you’re a 39.5, then go for a 40).

They’re available in black and red at www.SweatyBetty.co.uk

Enjoy that? Do please forward this on to anyone else you know who might too.
