The Press Day...

Press days give retailers the opportunity to showcase their forth coming season’s collections to journalists. There’s always a drink, a nibble and a goody bag all in the hope that you’ll look back on the event (and your scribbled notes) in the right frame of mind as you plan your features list.

For journalists press days can be both enormously fulfilling and incredibly mundane; hopefully you leave bursting with creativity, but at times you leave feeling thoroughly uninspired.

Thankfully the White Company Autumn / Winter press day did NOT have the latter effect. No, the metallic cushions, artistic lighting (more on that another time), lovely leisurewear and gorgeous knits had quite the opposite effect.
