EYE & BROW ESSENTIALS

Contour G Eye Pencil, £25 | Guerlain

These silky gel pencils can create both thin and thick lines, with a texture that’s so easy to build up and work with. They’re also designed with sensitive eyes in mind, so you never get any irritation or redness. The shade ‘Night Blue’ is a moody alternative to black, while ‘Jungle’ is perfect for an evening out – gold with just enough shimmer, it subtly enhances all eye colours.

Fuller Brows Brow Mascara, $33 | Trish McEvoy

Trish McEvoy is known for making some of the simplest but most effective beauty products out there, and that includes this new brow gel. With a tiny brush head, it never deposits too much product in one area – or on the skin. Instead, it grips the brow hairs firmly to keep your arches looking neat and groomed. The shades are spot on – never too heavy or unnatural.

Beauty Tape A L'Oeil Metallic Eye Colour, £25 | Christian Louboutin

These slick shadows are destined to be a conversation starter – and the soft, holographic shades are bound to earn you plenty of compliments. We love the new tones ‘Morganite’ and ‘Agate’ for their rosy, champagne undertones, while the wide brush makes them easy to apply.

Lash Clash Mascara, £29 | Yves Saint Laurent Beauty

There’s a constant stream of new mascaras these days, but this one stood out to us. Perfect for those seeking extra volume, the wide brush catches every little lash for immediate length – you only need a coat or two to see a visible difference. Despite its chunkiness, the wand doesn’t leave any clumps behind and you won’t find the formula smudges or transfers as the day wears on. We love that it’s available in brown – great for those who want a softer finish for daytime.

THE CANDLE WE LOVE

Angel Candle, £59 | Marie-Chantal

This might be designed with babies in mind, but we can’t get enough of the soft, powdery scent. Think of spring and the smell of fresh, clean clothes – that’s exactly what’s inside this jar. Notes of jasmine, rose, bergamot and white musk come together to create a fragrance that’s soothing, nostalgic and comforting.

DAY-TO-DAY BASICS

Cuticle Milk, $16 | NailBoo

This is one of the best cuticle products we’ve tried in a while. Full of hydrating ingredients like chamomile and shea butter, just a small amount is enough to soften ragged skin immediately and alleviate feelings of dryness. Apply it as you would nail polish, focusing on the areas that need it most. Great if you’re fed up of sticky oils – the milk texture absorbs fast and doesn’t cause any greasiness.

Honey Lip Care Reve de Miel, £14 | Nuxe

Any beauty fan will know about NUXE’s bestselling lip balm – one sells every 28 seconds worldwide – and now it’s available as an oil. Applied like a lip gloss, shea butter and honey quickly get to work softening and nourishing lips. It immediately alleviates feelings of soreness and cracked skin – but without leaving behind any stickiness. Use a little over your cuticles, too.

Transparent Wash Bag, £12.99 | H&M

H&M does some of the best wash bags – and we have our eye on this one right now. Complete with several zip compartments to help you organise your stash, it’s deceptively spacious. Great for taking on your summer holiday.

Moisturizing Spa Socks, £16 (were £18) | Kitsch

Gel socks are having a moment, but we haven’t found any that rival these ones from Kitsch. Designed to hydrate and soften cracked heels, simply leave them on overnight on top of your favourite body butter or foot cream to wake up to softer-looking feet. The gel lining locks in moisture and ensures proper absorption of product. The pads feel so cooling and soft, and you can reuse them as many times as you like.

Sailing Day Body Wash, £28 | Maison Margiela Replica

A luxe shower gel isn’t a necessity, but it can give you a quick mood boost. We’re loving this Maison Margiela body wash, which was created to mimic a day at the seaside. Crisp, salty and fresh, you’ll notice this on your skin hours after washing it off. Added glycerine means limbs get an extra dose of hydration which stays there long after you’ve stepped out the shower.

SKIN QUENCHERS

Melting Moment Cleansing Balm, £39.99 | Alpha-H

Thick and buttery, this is everything you’d want from a cleansing balm. As you massage it onto damp skin, it transforms into a silky oil that dissolves all make-up – even stubborn waterproof formulas. As it does so, it keeps hydration locked in with grapeseed oil and vitamin E. It’s also been designed to soothe inflammation so, unlike with some cleansers, you won’t ever find your skin feels tight or dry afterwards. We love how glow-y this left our skin.

Avoir It All, €74 | Ulé

Ulé is the newest skincare kid on the block. Making its way over from France, it combines sustainably sourced ingredients with science-backed, botanical formulas for tangible results. From the range, this quenching oil is the standout. You’ll find your skin drinks up the moisture, as ingredients like vitamin E and plumping oils strengthen skin and eliminate dullness. The results are instantaneous – think firmer, plumper-looking skin – and the formula is so versatile. Add a few drops into your cream or serum or even your water – yes, really – to reap the benefits.

INSTANT HAIR VOLUMISER

Cool Girl Volume Blow Dry Foam, £32 | Hair By Sam McKnight

Hair mousses are enjoying a renaissance and this one has become our go-to. Just scrunch it into damp hair and blast it with a hairdryer to distribute it evenly. The result – once dry – is fuller, bouncier hair that feels weightless, just like it does after a professional blow-dry. The volume lasts for days and there’s none of that tell-tale greasiness that comes with some hair styling products. Just be sure to give it a good shake before you use it.

CIRCULATION BOOSTERS

Scalp Solutions Stimulating Scalp Massager, £27 | Aveda

Studies show a scalp massage can promote better hair growth and health, and this tool from Aveda is guaranteed to give you a helping hand. The flexible bristles are designed to massage your scalp and boost blood flow, working best when your hair is dry (so you don’t snag or pull it when it’s wet). Regular use will also lift away any dirt and build-up on your scalp.

Firmness Roller, £80 | myBlend

myBlend is the new science-backed brand everyone’s talking about. Its anti-ageing skincare line-up is impressive, but we’re hooked on this Firmness Roller. Unlike other rollers on the market, it comes with nodules that deeply massage your skin as you move it over the contours of your face. The heads rotate and really get deep down into your skin – immediately you’ll notice things look more lifted. It’s great for minimising tension, too – try using it around the jawline.

FRAGRANCE OF THE MONTH

Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica EDP, £116 (was £155) | L’Artisan

A new spin on spring fragrance, this fresh and zesty scent has a musky quality to it that balances out the sweetness. It’s a bit like Byredo’s Sundazed but with a slightly fresher dry down. It also comes in a travel size – great for chucking in your handbag.

HIGH-STREET FAVOURITES

Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush, £11 | Milani

This cream blush from Milani is definitely worth picking up. Not only is it affordable, the liquid texture is so easy to blend and layer. Plus, the staying power is impressive. Rich in pigment, you’ll find it stays on the skin for hours with a dewy glow that leaves you looking healthy and fresh. There are plenty of shades to choose from, but our first choice would be ‘Pink Flirt’.

Gradual Tanning Lotion, £12.99 | Bondi Sands

Bondi Sands is one of our favourite tanning brands and it recently added this silky lotion to its range. A little goes a long way, and tan phobes will be pleased to hear that the colour builds gradually. Just be sure to really rub it in, as the texture is quite thick – then let ingredients like castor oil and cocoa seed butter get to work sealing in long-term moisture for streak-free results.
