The New Skincare Brand Everyone’s Talking About

The New Skincare Brand Everyone’s Talking About

If you often feel overwhelmed with the number of options when it comes to skincare, you’ll be pleased to know there’s a brand out there designed to do just three things: deliver results, be kind to your skin and bring joy to your routine. With only a handful of products in the line, whind founder Hind Sebti has paid due attention to the basics, as well as the quality – all the more important when you consider people tend to stop using beauty products for one of two simple reasons: the texture or the scent. Intrigued? Here’s what you need to know.

CREATED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH WHIND

The Background:

Whind founder, Hind Sebti, has an esteemed background in beauty. After 20 years spent working at global beauty giants like L’Oréal and Procter & Gamble, it’s safe to say she knows exactly what she’s talking about, as well as what consumers want and need. It’s what led her to create whind – a brand focused on giving customers a better skincare experience through things like sensorial textures, uplifting scents and slick packaging. Hind believes skincare results are maximised by compliance, so if you’re enjoying what you use, you’re far more likely to be consistent. It’s not just the textures that enhance the experience, either – each formulation has been crafted by top scientists to ensure you see results within weeks, while maintaining moisture and hydration within the skin, too – your complexion will never feel dry or tight post-use, just smooth and plump with a refined finish. As for the brand’s ethos, Hind wanted to reference her Moroccan heritage, which is why you’ll find the warm terracotta packaging, signature fragrances and cosseting textures all nod to the country.

The Sustainable Credentials:

The brand is best summarised in three words: science, joy and performance. But equally important is their commitment to better practices. Everything in the range is dermatologically tested, so you can rest assured most skin types can use it without fear of irritation. Even better, everything is vegan, cruelty-free and carbon neutral certified – plus, the packaging is at least 90% recyclable, with a commitment to being 100% in the works.

I created a skincare brand I was missing. One that is both effective and evocative. Blending science led formulas from the best chemists and enjoyable transportive sensoriality inspired by my native Morocco.

The Ingredients That Yield Results:

While the sensoriality of each product is inspired by Hind’s Moroccan background, whind selects it’s ingredients based on consumer needs first, prioritising ingredients that are clinically proven to be effective. This includes pomegranate enzymes, which is a gentle AHA alternative and well-known for its ability to exfoliate skin as effectively as glycolic acid, both on the surface and deep inside the pores. You’ll also find heaps of hyaluronic acid inside – which is one of the most researched ingredients with proven hydrating benefits. Both can help to stimulate your skin’s own collagen production for a firmer, more youthful appearance over time. There are more traditional ingredients in the line-up, too, like aloe vera and shea butter, which are well-tolerated thanks to their highly moisturising properties.

Oasis Fresh Dissolving Jelly Cleanser, £32

Why We Love It: The name alone had us at hello. The cooling jelly texture is suitable for all skin types and feels refreshing every single time you use it. Brimming with lots of great skincare actives like niacinamide, which is known to calm inflammation-prone skin, while vitamin C gives your complexion a far brighter appearance post-use. Use it morning and evening, lathering it up with warm water for best results. Unlike other cleansers, it will leave your skin feeling hydrated long after you’ve rinsed it away.

Atlas Pure Purifying Whipped Mask, £40

Why We Love It: Designed to purify and purge the skin of dirt, this satisfying mask is brimming with green and white clay, as well as salicylic acid. All three work in unison to pull grime out of the skin, leaving behind a smoother, more even surface. Unlike similar masks, it’s non-stripping and doesn't crack or dry the skin out, thanks to the addition of nourishing glycerin, which locks moisture back in. Use it once or twice a week post-cleanse and leave it on for no longer than 15 minutes.

Marrakech Light Illuminating Magic Oil, £69

Why We Love It: Silky, hydrating oils don’t get much better than this. Non-greasy, there’s no tacky, or sticky residue – in fact, it’s surprisingly lightweight yet soothing, thanks to nine different sun oils; think the likes of argan, jojoba, almond and apricot. You can apply it both morning and evening, or mix it with your moisturiser for more pared-back hydration. Likewise, it’s thin enough to be mixed into your foundation, too, for a subtle, healthy-looking illumination. A must-try.

Medina Dew Rose Water Day Cream, Coming Soon

Why We Love It: New to the brand, this cream promises to deliver fresh, hydrated dewy skin, without any tell-tale stickiness. Completely weightless, it’s brimming with hydrating heavyweights – including glycerin, hyaluronic acid and saccharide isomerate – which is a skin-identical sugar that binds and locks moisture in. Combine that with the addition of rosewater, as well as ‘water burst technology’ (encapsulated water droplets) and you’ve got a seriously nourishing formula that plumps skin up immediately. You’ll also find aloe, panthenol and glasswort extract which offer skin-soothing benefits, while strengthening simultaneously, too. Extra points for the prickly pear extract which minimises dullness within the skin. A great summer staple.

Available on the 21st August

Kasbah Moonlight Transforming Cream To Oil Nightly Mask, £65

Why We Love It: This cosseting mask is so indulgent. With a cream-to-oil texture, it absorbs fast and can be left on overnight – think of it like a drip-feed of continuous moisture, thanks to glycerin, argan and botanical oils, which offer up antioxidant protection, too. You’ll wake up to skin with a visible, renewed glow, but also a plumpness you’ll love. Despite its kuxurious feel, it’s surprisingly lightweight, which is down to the hydrating actives that nourish your skin from the inside out.

Sahara Silk Vanishing Cream Exfoliator, £55

Why We Love It: Whind is here to prove not all facial exfoliators need to be abrasive. Powered by enzymes, rhassoul clay and rice bran, this swiftly removes dull, dead skin cells for a refined, brighter complexion. A little goes a long way, too – you only need a small amount to see results. Use it once or twice a week depending on your skin’s needs, and you’ll find the polished, glow-y results are second to none.
