Maison Mirabeau Nude Pink

Regular SL readers will know we love Maison Mirabeau, so we were excited to try its new rosé, Nude Pink. A soft and pale wine with summer fruit notes including peach, strawberries and cherries, the rosé is made from organic grapes from the Côtes de Provence region in France. Made from a blend of grenache, cinsault and syrah grapes, the wine is gently clarified without animal proteins – meaning it’s vegan-friendly – and packaged in 100% recycled glass bottles. Enjoy a couple of glasses with seafood dishes or summer berry desserts.

Araw

Araw is a new artisanal ice-cream brand which creates interesting flavours inspired by different corners of the world. More than your standard tub of ice-cream, each flavour is inspired by a different culture or country, like ‘Thai Tea-ramisu’, ‘Pandan Onde Onde’ inspired by Malaysia, and ‘Basque Cheesecake’. There are new flavours to choose from every other week, and flavour updates are released on Sundays, so you have plenty of time to place your order online or pick it up from your local independent supermarket.

Premium coffee brand Caravan has created three new coffee pods based on its signature flavours served at its shops. Developed at the brand’s London HQ and packed full of flavour (unlike some traditional coffee pods which can be bland), choose from Caravan’s ‘Daily Blend’ with notes of dark chocolate, baking spices and toffee apple’; the ‘Market Blend’ which is slightly sweeter with notes of red apple; and a decaf blend. Ideal for iced coffees or morning lattes at home.

These Days Drinks

These Days Drinks is a new alcohol brand with two ready-made drinks to choose from. First, the Venetian Spritz is a modern take on a classic Venetian bellini, full of peach and honey flavours with a sweet nose and dry finish – ideal if you like a bitter drink. Meanwhile, the Sundown Spritz is a fresh and fruity alternative to northern Italy’s aperitivo drinks, with plenty of fresh blood orange juice. Both are made from natural ingredients without any flavourings and are low-sugar and low-calorie.

Vegan Daikon Bao

Taiwanese steamed bun experts Bao makes the best buns in the capital, so we were excited to hear that the brand has created its first vegan bao bun. Available at all Bao restaurants in the capital, the vegan bao features a panko daikon made with milk-free batter and topped with burnt chilli sauce and soy pickled chilli – cased in one of their famous, fluffy buns. Each London restaurant also now has a different vegan menu. At Bao Noodle Shop in Shoreditch, for example, new dishes include vegan dan dan noodles, smacked cucumber, and kelp and aubergine soup.

Lockdown Liquor Torino x Pale Fox Spritz Kit

It’s no secret that we’re fans of Lockdown Liquor and Pale Fox, so we were excited to hear the two brands have teamed up to create a ‘torino’ spritz kit. Similar to a negroni, a torino is made with Campari, but with the addition of vodka, juniper water and rosemary water – perfect if you like a slightly bitter cocktail. The kit includes Lockdown Liquor’s ready-made torino, plus a bottle of Pale Fox’s Superiore Prosecco or Prosecco Rosé. All that’s left to do is combine both for a refreshing summer drink.
