The Best Summer Drinks To Make This Year

In the picturesque Kennet Valley, Ramsbury Estate stretches over 20,000 acres across Wiltshire, West Berkshire and Hampshire. The distillery creates award-winning, premium and sustainable single-estate spirits, combining ingredients that are almost entirely grown on site. Just in time for the good weather, here, the brand shares some of its most popular gin and vodka cocktails to take your outdoor entertaining game up a notch…

Created in partnership with Ramsbury Single Estate Spirits

The Mission

‘Grow everything, waste nothing’ is Ramsbury’s motto. Whether it’s electricity from solar panels, heat in the form of steam from the biomass boiler, or recycling all its wastewater through a wildlife-friendly reed bed system, the ethos behind Ramsbury Single Estate Spirits is to showcase British products with full traceability.

The Gin

Ramsbury Single Estate Gin is a modern twist on a classic London dry gin. The spirit is distilled in a copper still using Horatio and Spotlight wheat – grown on estate grounds – before the spirit is distilled again with nine botanicals including quince. The result is a crisp, full-bodied gin with floral notes and hints of quince, which adds a sweet palate.

Tasting Notes: Juniper infused with the grassy and fruity tones of quince. Expect lighter citrus notes, coupled with a woody fragrance from angelica and a hint of spice from cinnamon.

Best Paired With: A classic Indian tonic, a slice of green apple and lime and plenty of ice.

The Vodka

Ramsbury Single Estate Vodka is elegant and medium-bodied, with a rich and creamy texture. Just a few ingredients combine to make this characterful vodka: Horatio and Spotlight adjacent to the distillery and chalk-filtered water, which distils into an extremely smooth vodka.

Tasting Notes: Tones of dried fruit, cocoa and layers of caramel are followed by dark chocolate richness.

Best Paired With: Best served in a Ramsbury Espresso Martini, with a grating of nutmeg on top.
